Remus Management

Absolutely abysmal managing agent. I have been left with a severe roof leak I reported 4 months ago. Roofers turned up twice to make patch repairs which have been completely ineffective when the roof is decades old and just needs replacing. Emails go weeks unanswered. Property manager and assistant property manager are “on the other line” and “will call back” but never do, “on lunch break” or “out of the office” or “ on annual leave” - always an excuse to not speak to me every time I call. When emails and calls are answered, my advice as someone who has previously worked in roofing and now in construction management as well as being someone actually living in the property and knowing where the damage is, is always ignored. Never buy a property which is managed by Remus for your own good.

Don't turn up when they say they're going to. Bins overflowing, weeds growing, uncut grassed areas. What are we paying for?

Customer service is appalling. Have left 3 messages recently for a certain person to phone me back but have not heard a thing. Will bear this in mind when it’s time to pay my annual service charge!!

I would give zero stars if I could. They planted four large trees outside our house, all of which are dead. We moved in our house in December so didn't realise they were dead until Spring. Our neighbours had the same issue, with two out of their three trees dead as well. They take no responsibility, offer no solutions, and consistently ignore and dismiss complaints. Alongside our brick wall, they planted around 40 smaller shrubs, and only one is still alive. Despite raising this multiple times, nothing has even been acknowledged apart from it being our fault by not watering plants over the winter between December and Spring where it rained every other day. We did our part and watered the plants as instructed in the summer, but it was clear the trees were already dead and hadn't been planted properly as showed no signs of growing. I don’t understand how this company is still operating and judging by all the other reviews I doubt they will be for much longer.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with — not just the worst property management company, but the worst company, period. They pass the cost of their own financial mistakes from previous years directly onto residents, showing zero accountability. Their customer service is practically non-existent, and there is no sign that they care about the people they are supposed to serve. Everything about their approach feels like a money grab, with no regard for fairness or responsibility. It is shocking that companies like this are allowed to operate without stricter regulation. Residents have no real choice but to pay whatever charges are imposed, which makes the lack of oversight even more unacceptable. My advice: if you discover that this company manages a property you’re interested in purchasing, walk away. Until housing developers stop partnering with companies like this, they are enabling this behavior and leaving buyers trapped in an unfair system.
