Bought flooring, worktop and paint and Nick was extremely helpful with measurements and help us to the car with our purchases. What a delight to have such good customer service. Nick is an asset to your company.

Terrible customer service. The staff looks like is working by force. Not willing to help at all. I asked for help to find a tap but the salesperson from the very beginning said the specific tap I was looking for was not available. After insisting in checking, he came with me to the tap section and I was the one selling to myself by showing him the options I could get, that would work for me and that he actually said he wouldn’t have. In the end I decided to buy because I really needed it urgently but I’m already repenting why I paid £50, when I could have bought for £35 elsewhere in Lancaster. They are very pricey for the terrible service they offer.

My main go to place for DIY items. Wood quality can sometimes be a little "ify" but if you are prepared to sift through the pieces you can usually find some good quality items.

After sales really poor, just ignoring us now weeks and weeks trying to get the kitchen finished, badly designed with items missing including essential safety support for worktops, bits still waiting on, could go on for ever. Buy from these guys and you will just regret it.

Unfortunately my visit today left a sour taste from wickes. The store is great for everyday DIY bits, however I went in today to get a bathroom designed. Ultimately I wanted a wicks bathroom as I heard the quality was good. I went in before 3pm on a Sunday and made a beeline for an available bathroom design desk with someone sat at it. We essentially got encouraged to have a look around at bathrooms and pick each individual item that we wanted - which makes me query the point of the design service?? After 5 minutes of aimless wandering around bathrooms we returned to the desk and said we’d like one drawn up (measurements prepared). Despite there being an hour left of the working day - he said there wasn’t time to have one done. He then began talking about the cost of the bathrooms and kept mentioning finance. He made it quite clear (without actually saying it) that I probably couldn’t afford the service, which as a ‘young looking’ person I am used too. I understand that there are finance options available - but to say ‘an average fitted bathroom would be around 10k’ and then suck air through his teeth and shrug - frankly is insulting. It was clear they didn’t want/need the business - which is probably true. I know I can book an appointment online, and be guaranteed a slot, however the point of this review is that I didn’t actually feel welcome, which sucks. When I left the shop after buying some paint samples, I left the bathroom catalogue at the front desk. When the cashier asked if I’d like the catalogue and I said no, he actually threw his hands in the air as if to say ‘ugh why do I even bother’ I’d like to say I’m exaggerating - but this was my genuine experience. It was weird and uncomfortable. Called the manager afterwards - and they didn’t really care either. Ultimately probably for the best as I can get a smaller business to do it.
