Trades Training School

Everything about my experience on the plumbing module of the Bathroom Fitting course was brilliant. Starting from my first inquiries with Jane about the suitability of the course for a woman in her mid 50s with a high interest in, but very little actual knowledge of plumbing to the completion of the 2 week plumbing module with Iain. Everyone who works at the school is friendly and welcoming and at no point did I feel intimidated or out of place which was my biggest concern before starting. The course is extremely practical and expectations are high. I learned more than I could have possibly imagined in such a short amount of time - including assembling and plumbing in a full bathroom suite as well as plumbing in a radiator. I have come away with a newfound confidence and energy to continue learning and put my new skills into practice. I especially appreciated the good humor, professionalism and patience that Iain had whilst teaching the course. It was definitely worth the trip from Denmark to take one of your courses. I look forward to returning and completing more modules at Trades Training School in the near future. Thank you!! Lizzy

I loved my week at Trades Training School. Antony is a brilliant teacher, guide and motivator and he really encouraged the students to keep on improving. Plastering is physically demanding but by the end of the week I felt great and I am looking forward to taking on the renovation jobs in my old house that I would never have attempted before. I definitely recommend the school

I attended the 2 week plumbing course with Iain. Brilliant course, very thorough and well put together. Jane , Anthony and the rest of the team are always on hand if need be. Would rate this for beginners or upskillers, you will not be disappointed! *****

The instructors on this course were excellent—highly knowledgeable, approachable, and clearly invested in our development. The structure of the training gave me extensive hands‑on experience, allowing me to take ownership of each task from planning through completion. This approach significantly strengthened my problem‑solving abilities and improved the way I plan and execute work to a high standard. Support was always available, but the instructors stepped in only when necessary, which helped build confidence and independence. I also benefited from observing more advanced students and discussing their projects during breaks, which accelerated my learning and broadened my understanding of the subject. Overall, this was a very well‑designed course delivered by true professionals. It has equipped me with skills I didn’t expect to develop so fully, and I’m genuinely grateful for the experience.

I attended the 2 week City & Guilds plumbing course with TTS... It was an all round highly positive experience. From the initial inquiries via email with Gillian and Jane, which were friendly and informative, and showed flexibility in approach to future studies. To the excellent teaching from Ian. Clear, concise instruction, very informative about the practicalities and things to consider once working in the industry, and answered any questions I had with clarity, all while keeping the atmosphere of the learning environment light-hearted. Also a very hands on practical syllabus. I was surprised how much I learned in such a short amount of time. Would definitely recommend, and will personally consider attending further courses with Trades Training School in the future.
