PestGone Environmental

Like other reviewers here, my experience with JG has been appalling. I would strongly advise anyone from using this company. They took over PestGone, who I had used previously without issue, without notifying customers of the change. Be very careful if trying to book with PestGone, it is not the same company. What followed using JG PestGone was a catalogue of failures: an inadequate first visit that missed the primary entry point entirely, foam proofing that rats can simply chew through, two cancelled follow-up appointments, a visit booked on a day I explicitly said I was unavailable, and now months of silence with the treatment still incomplete. When I raised a formal complaint I was told the first visit was adequate. It was not. Avoid.

I just phoned this company to sort out a problem with ants. They ask me to pay £250 + VAT on the phone prior to visiting. They offer a 4 months guarantee. They may be a reputable and competent company, but is this an acceptable way of conducting business? Shouldn't I be billed after the job is done? What guarantee do I have that they will even turn up?

I have been with Pestgone environment for 3 years, they now have merged with JG Pest Control. I recommended them to my uncles restaurant last year in November. He has paid £108 for a visit, which they made, and £360 for 2 scheduled appointments, which was never made. They tried to arrange the scheduled appointment during christmas when they wasn't open. Haven't heard from them since. After chasing them up to ask them whats happening with the schedule appointments, been told that the appointments we have paid for, have an expiry date of 4 months. 1. Nowhere on the invoice does it state any expiry date 2. Never was told. Please also check out their other reviews, appalling service.

Mark and the team at PestGone Environmental have been extremely supportive and thorough from day one. They have gone above and beyond with their services, quickly responding to any queries and giving consistent updates. They are experts in their field and I’ve really appreciated them explaining the processes from start to finish, as well as keeping in touch with after care. I would highly recommended this company, they are worth every penny!

I called out PestGone Environmental to deal with a dead fox in my garden. Jo who took my call was courteous and professional and arranged a same day appointment, which was important to me. She kept me updated with the ETA. Mark arrived when he said he would and dealt with it swiftly. I had called a few other companies (who couldn't come same day) and the price was fair. No hesitation in recommending the company if, like me, this is not a job you want to do yourself!
