This is how they see fit to leave an occupied pensioners property for days. This the kitchen !! food needs to be prepared in this area. wind whistles through the eaves depositing decades old dust & debris onto the surfaces, including from the old loft insulation. These repairs from an original leaking roof were reported on the 4th december 2023. 14 months and still ongoing. The cieling was removed yesterday (3rd feb 2025) and left with no lighting and removed smoke & monoxide detectors just laying on the work surface. several calls were needed to get an emergency electrician out at 6pm to put up a light fitting as williams electrician failed to show up.....nothing new there then !!. allegedly they will be here to board & skim a new celing this Thursday 6th feb, well i assume it will be this thursday, but have learnt not to hold my breath waiting for this chocolate fireguard outfit...... watch this space, i will be back no doubt !! Question: is it possible to give a minus star rating on here ? Said i would be back, new ceiling finaly fitted & skimmed, palsterer was top notch.......not so the guys who came to paint it....well..throw some emulsion at it. this outfit are useless, honestly, please do not use this bunch of cowboys unless like me you have no choice. still waiting for insulation, probably do that midd summer when ive lost a small fortune on heating. sure some brown envelopes go to councilers.

Absolutely NO stars. Failed floor boarding in centre of child's bedroom floor. THEY made appointment 2 weeks to job being done. On the day of repair I had to empty bedroom, move furniture and everything a child would have in bedroom and store around the house including the landing, other bedrooms (already in use) the shower and the lounge. I had to lift the carpet and underlay to expose said floor boards ( chipboard stuff) THEY cancelled at 11th hour, saying they will reschedule for next week!!! I have spent all day on the phone to them saying it's not acceptable and job must be completed today, promise after promise, phone call after phone call, no-one has bothered to get back to me. I am now expected to put everything back in bedroom and do the same again next week or leave everything where it is and climb around things all week. Absolutely atrocious behaviour from IAN WILLIAMS. I did phone the council to complain, they said they can't do anything about it. The attitude seems to be.. We have the contract so we will do what we want.

AVOID REALLY BAD HOUSING REPAIRS As in nothing ever gets done. Not a reliable repair service in any way at all. Normally it's the fault of the council 99 times out of 100 but the amount of times I've had to chase up repairs and get these people to actually do something is insane. We have a burst pipe tonight. Been over two hours, water gushing out everywhere and still no call back! SUPPOSED TO BE AN EMERGENCY!!! More so since somebody from Ian williams was doing a job on the roof yesterday and now we have a burst pipe coming down from the roof. And they won't fix the issues with the property but sent my details to anenviroment agency requesting a survey. This company is truly laughable

Unfortunately Ian Williams have the property maintenance contract with East Devon District Council. In my experience EDDC are responsible landlords who strive to keep their properties in a good condition. This begs the question as to why they persist with Ian Williams. In my experience they're a poorly run outfit, with an over stretched workforce and habit of poor communication.

Yet again a time promised between 8 and 1 and again a no show! This job in the bathroom has been addressed and so called fixed on two occasions and the toilet pipe is still leaking. We are still waiting.
