Went to Doobies in Sterling Saturday midday to look for a small tree for our front garden. In the outdoor plant area we were quite shocked to find it was in a rather sad state. Trees blown over (no wind this Saturday) dried out plants in their hundreds. Shocked to see the state of this area and decided it was no use looking for any tree. Doobies must surely waste a large amount of plants and money with neglecting their plants and trees. Utterly disappointed.

Another solid experience at Dobbies Stirling—and this time the customer service deserves a special mention. Plant stock was healthy and clearly labelled, with easy-to-handle trolleys and wide, step-free aisles. Amy provided exceptional support: courteous, proactive, and genuinely attentive to accessibility—her thoughtful assistance around my disabilities made the visit smoother from start to finish. In the café, Gillian was equally impressive: friendly, patient, and meticulous in checking my order and making sure everything was right before I sat down. It’s a busy spot at lunchtime, but service stayed calm and efficient. Coffee was reliable, the baking fresh, and the space clean and bright. Parking is plentiful (aim earlier at weekends), facilities are clean, and the store layout is easy to navigate. Prices are a touch higher than some independents, but you get strong range, plant guarantees, and a pleasant browse—plus a well-curated food hall for gifts and seasonal displays that are always worth a look. Overall: dependable quality, good accessibility, and standout staff. Many thanks to Amy and Gillian for turning a good visit into an excellent one.

Popped into Dobbies on our way to Loch lomond. Very impressive unit, great variety of goods for sale and well displayed on the shop floor. We visited the cafe it was quite busy but we managed to get a table. We had the home made pea 🫛 & mint soup with crusty bread 🍞 the soup 🍲 was awesome 👌 delicious 😋 and plenty. Staff were welcoming, helpful, friendly and polite.

Huge centre with shops within shops. restaurant has variety of hot and cold options and large range of drinks. Delicious cakes and scones. Breakfast till 11.30 am. Good coffee . Deli shop has yummy offerings. Huge plant selection. Staff are really helpful. Huge parking although disabled slots at front are difficult to get. Overall could spend many hours here.

Terrible experience in Dobbies restaurant Stirling. Ordered chicken tikka masala and the server counted out five pieces of chicken and one spoonful of sauce along with rice which wasn’t cooked and not very hot and charged just under £13. Also had a cheese scone which was full of pepper and unedible. Quality of food has deteriorated and would not recommend.
