It was a good experience overall. Booked the slot online. Went there. There are bays where you can park your vehicle. Then, separate bins to throw your water and recycling materials. From Electronics to carpets to mattresses to plastic and garden waste. Throw all your stuff into the dedicated bins and that's it. It was pretty smooth. The only issue is that since no one was checking if you came during your dedicated slot, people would come without reservation and that means more cars than the available bays to park your car.

So after the revamp from the old messy site, finally made a visit to help my brother get rid of a fair amount of rubbish / from a fridge freezer to paint tubs and metal etc. The staff are friendly and helpful and assist you to which section to get rid of different types of material. You have to book now before getting of rubbish and all the skips are numbered.

The staff are patient and the tip is well organised. It's the other users who make it unpleasant! There is always someone who insists on waiting for a particular favourite parking space, blocking the one through lane and holding up everyone else. Otherwise it's usually pretty quick to get in and out.

What is the point of booking an appointment when nobody asks you for your reference number , i.d. or checks the car reg ? Pointless , the system to book is poor and clearly a waste of time . Had to queue for 20 minutes , surely the point of a timeslot is to reduce congestion ! It doesn't work , just scrap it . Who was paid good money to design this place ? Clearly someone with little common sense ! Parallel parking in front of the skips ? There is less room at this place than before the refurb . If cars were reversed up to the skips you would get more cars in , it would be easier to unload and safer for people walking about ( cars parked on both sides now so walking through the parking spaces ) . And having the kiosk on top of the ramp so people have to hill start - genius ! If that had to be like it because it's a raised platform it would have made sense for the entrance to be on the (current) exit ramp which is longer and less of an angle . Why is it most new council projects are not thought out properly and residents can see the issues but not the people behind the projects ? Lets just hope the designers of this site don't get anymore council contracts. I will add it is very tidy but the layout is just poor . A redesign so cars go up the long ramp and reverse park would solve a lot of problems , that would only require a few signs , moving the kiosk and repainting the bays so actually pretty economical and quick ( but then that would admit it was poor to begin with ). We have problems with people dumping rubbish , well the harder you make it for people to get into the tip the more likely they are not to bother . This place needs improving rapidly !

Very good recycling centre. Easy to find and get to. Luckily went at a good time as queues get long very quickly (perhaps because it was a Saturday). Very convenient, park in a bay when its free and dump your waste in the appropriate section!
