Top Notch Cleaners

Nice enough individuals who came to do the cleaning. However, I can guarantee they were not professional cleaners. They were students trying to make a living. So I cannot blame them. Top Notch Cleaners (The company owner) needs to accept full responsibility here because I certainly wouldn’t recommend them, ever. The cleaners just left and we basically have had our house tipped upside down.

I booked a last min deep clean for my elderly parents’ house. The gentlemen who came to the property worked very hard today and transformed the place. Communication beforehand was excellent and I was impressed I could confirm the booking on a Sunday evening. Will definitely consider booking a post-renovation clean of my own home soon. Many thanks

Honestly, it felt like they just air-freshened the place and hoped for the best. There was that “fresh clean smell” everywhere… but very little actual cleaning to go with it. Floors weren’t properly hoovered or mopped, skirting boards still dirty, candle wax left on the floors and window sills, and big black marks still on the walls. When I raised it, I was told it had all been “wiped down” — which might be true, but I’m fairly sure I paid for a clean, not a quick once-over with a cloth. I genuinely don’t know how they expected me to hand the flat over to a new tenant in that condition. To top it off, the parking permit mysteriously disappeared during the clean. They were the only ones in the flat, yet somehow it vanished into thin air, leaving me to pay to replace it. When I called to complain (after having to pay someone else to come in and actually finish the job), I suggested a partial refund. I was offered £15 — which felt more like a joke than a resolution — and, unsurprisingly, that never even materialised. Not worth chasing, but it does sum up the experience nicely. At one point, even after I’d sent videos and photos, I was accused of trying to pull one over. I had to ask him if he’d actually looked at the evidence — which seemed to leave him completely dumbfounded. He did offer to come around to rectify but the tenant was moving in the next day. Overall, “Top Notch” is… ambitious branding. “Top-Not Cleaners” might be more accurate. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

John and his guys did a fantastic job after I had a tenant move out. They were very polite and treated my flat with great care. Really pleased with the outcome and at a good price.
