The Uplands Launderette

As a brown person, I was shocked by the comments I heard from the big guy with the beard, who I believe is the owner of the laundry. In my experience, the remarks about white people came across as racist and deeply inappropriate. Racism is unacceptable regardless of who it’s directed at. Because of this experience, I won’t be returning.

I've been using this laundry shop for a while now, and I'm consistently impressed with their services. Every time I pick up my clothes, they're not only clean but also well-handled. The staff is friendly and professional, making the whole experience pleasant. Highly recommended for anyone looking for reliable and quality laundry services!

Staff got bleach on my handbag while I was waiting for my laundry in the dryer. Luckily I didn't get any on me and my bag is faux leather so it didn't stain but they need to be more careful. Not only that the dryer filled with someone else's hair that got stuck to all our bedsheets. We know it wasn't ours because it was the wrong colour. Really gross and completely unheginic. Been going here for years but our experiences lately haven't been the best so we may start going elsewhere.

Machines are always in use or out of order, there is normally a 30 minute wait to use the washing machines and driers. The staff just want you to pay for the most expensive option. Gave me £10 change for a £20

Are you traveling? Do you live here? Doesn’t matter - go here to do your laundry! Mo is such a good vibe and Brigia (sorry, Idk the spelling 😭😭) is so kind and helpful. Machines are all good and clean. They work well. My clothes came out clean and toasty. Plus a cute kitty. This was the best place I’ve spent money on since I started traveling in Europe. Oh, and this guy cleans shoes like no other. Felt so welcome 🙏🏼 thanks Mo and Brigia 🌿🌿
