I always have a fantastic shopping experience at Tesco Extra! 🛒 The store is consistently well-stocked with a wide variety of fresh products 🍎 and the aisles are always clean and organized. The staff are so friendly and helpful too! 😊 It's definitely my go-to for groceries. 👍

27 and have lived in Dunfermline for 19 years. During that time, I’ve regularly shopped at Tesco because it’s the closest store to my home. Unfortunately, over the years I’ve become increasingly concerned about the way some staff members treat customers. There has long been a reputation locally about how certain minorities are treated in this store. From both my personal experience and my work within the community, I’ve noticed that negative interactions appear to disproportionately affect people from minority backgrounds. The behaviour can feel rude, dismissive, and at times unnecessarily suspicious. On more than one occasion, staff have followed customers after they have paid and left the store — even approaching them once they were already in their cars — without clear explanation or evidence of wrongdoing. Situations like this are distressing and create an uncomfortable shopping environment. I fully understand that retail staff have a responsibility to prevent theft, but this must be done professionally, respectfully, and without making people feel targeted. There was also an incident involving my brother when he applied for a job at this store. A staff member who is an acquaintance advised him to use his middle name — which is traditionally British — on his application, suggesting he would have a better chance of being shortlisted. They told him that others had done the same and received interviews after reapplying under a different name. Whether intended or not, advice like this raises serious concerns about perceived bias and the message it sends about identity and belonging. Experiences like these have been deeply disheartening. At times, it has made me question whether being born and raised in Scotland truly shields someone from feeling like they don’t belong simply because they don’t “look” a certain way. That is a difficult and painful feeling to carry. I want to be clear that this is not about condemning an entire community in Fife. However, my experiences at this store have at times reflected broader challenges that some minorities face locally. I no longer feel comfortable shopping there and have decided to take my custom elsewhere. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and encourages reflection, accountability, and meaningful improvement.

Decent enough selections of items. Impossible to move around the store however as it appears the staff are in competition to see who can cause the most obstruction in the aisles with their own carts. Most of them are inconsiderate bordering on ignorant with their placement, far too focussed on their workload to give a toss about people trying to navigate the obstacle course they've created.

What we refer to as our local big Tesco, generally well stocked and some good deals to be had, though they are tied to having a Clubcard. Also good to see quite a good selection of meat free products in their own brand. The app works well with the self scanners allowing you to transfer a shopping list to them sorted by aisle, handy when not familiar with the store layout.

I shop here on a daily basis , but have realised there are far too many collect and collect trolleys going about in the store. I understand that the employees are busy doing there job , collecting the products for their customers but as a walk in customer many of them was blocking the aisles and one lady was very rude and pushed past in a hurry. This is causing customers having a pleasant time shopping.
