Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall

Everything here was absolute perfection. The customer service was really on another level even compared to three star restaurants I’ve been to. The staff couldn’t have done more to be attentive, polite, welcoming and accommodating to any need we had. The food was incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. This was the perfect choice for our third anniversary and we had a brilliant night.

Loved the 8 course tasting menu.. special occasion for friends 50th birthday… had fun with Isaac as he was welcoming and sang happy birthday. All the staff were attentive and explained every dish. Couldn’t fault the food and would recommend for sure..

A really nice meal made special by incredible service. First time at Grantley Hall. Have followed Shaun Rankin and wanted to try his food for a long time. The restaurant is really fancy in an amazing building. On entering it feels more like a 2 or 3 star restaurant, and from the initial contact to the service throughout, this is how it felt. The food, while really good, didn’t quite match up to the service in our eyes. We’ve been to a few Michelin starred places (1-3 stars) and the service here was up there with the best. Some of the courses were amazing. The oyster dish,and the signature bread dish with beef tea were spectacular. As was the pumpkin magnum. Delicious. Some of the food felt a bit under seasoned or lacked as much punch in flavour as hoped. A crack of salt might have helped every dish. Like the scallop dish (sauce was a bit flat), the cruffin and tunworth was bland to be honest. Couldn’t taste the truffle. The sweetbread dish was a bit gristly. Just overall the food didn’t hit the heights we expected, but the service was incredible. Oh and we went to Valerie’s bar after. Very strange. Felt like we were in a 1980s Miami strip club haha

What an amazing experience. Champagne afternoon tea. The staff were wonderful, even the ones not involved in your experience. We had left and a young lady taking some luggage in stopped us and asked if we had had a nice time. She didn't need to but just did. The food was superb and the ambience of the rooms was amazing. There was no rush, plenty of time to enjoy our drinks between courses, which is quite unusual nowadays as other places just want you in and out ready for the next ones. It was a fantastic, wonderful afternoon.

My friend is obsessed with Michelin star restaurants so of course, staying at Grantley Hall, this was a must visit!! The experience started in the drawing room, with the most deliciously scrumptious first course. The rest of the meal was equally great and the service was brilliant too. The servers were so lovely - it all added to the ambience. We were there for a couple of hours and I must say it was a delightful experience. We finished back in the drawing room for the last course and left very happy. We had the vegetarian menu. My friend met some of his friends there and we all had a chat and compared notes- as you do!!! I’d also like to say thank you for making the evening special, with a signed birthday card, as we were celebrating the birthday of one of our group of friends.
