I’m afraid my experience with Paul Heat Recovery for an MVHR retrofit has been frustrating and disappointing. I gave the go-ahead in September 2025 following a survey and quote for what was described as a “full install.” However, from the outset it became clear that key elements were not included. I had to arrange and pay for a roofer myself to core the required holes, which was not communicated beforehand. When the installer arrived, I was then told that loft insulation would need to be moved before they could proceed. This was surprising given that the property had already been surveyed and the presence of insulation should have been obvious. I initially refused, as this should have been accounted for, and after considerable back-and-forth they agreed to arrange a labourer. However, it then took until April 2026 — seven months later — to schedule the work, and the installation was carried out over a weekend, which felt unprofessional. The quality and organisation of the installation itself were also lacking. At the end of the first day, the team left my property in a very untidy state, with spotlights hanging out of the ceilings. This was concerning and not what I would expect from a professional installation. Finally, after the installation, I was informed that I would need to arrange a plumber to connect the condensate pipe to a drain. Again, this was not made clear at any point prior to the work being carried out, despite the project being sold as a complete installation. Overall, the lack of clarity, delays, and poor coordination made this a stressful experience. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company ensures that all aspects of the work are explicitly confirmed in writing before proceeding.

Ordered filters for my Zehnder MVHR – really fast service. I realised the next morning I’d forgotten to include the kitchen filters, but it was no trouble at all to add them on. Everything arrived quickly and well packed. The filters are genuine originals, not aftermarket, and the price was spot on. Super friendly and professional service – would definitely recommend!

Ordered new air filters from PAUL Heat Recovery, and initially there was a problem with the address these were sent to, as the billing and delivery addresses were mixed up. One phone call later, they sent out a replacement order which arrived next day. Great service.
