Orchid Park is so far past the original (and the second, third and fourth) finish date it’s a joke, constant disruption to fully finished and lived-in parts by extremely noisy heavy machinery almost every single day, inconsiderate parking by contractors and that’s even without considering the laissez-faire building quality. Spending weekdays at Orchid Park has been an absolute nightmare for well over a year now. It’s better to roam the streets all day than to work from home with builders shouting, parking in the middle of the roads, HGVs blocking accessways and heavy machinery screaming all day long, all because the organisers don’t seem to remember that there are TWO roads in to the estate. Despite all the remaining houses still being built being situated at the far end of the site, until very recently the builder insisted on driving all HGVs, machinery and heavy loads through the completed residential site for about a year rather than simply using the road at the edge of the site where they were building. That sums up Ogilvie though: they talk a nice game, but lack the commitment and common sense to do things properly, preferring to cut corners wherever possible. Would I buy another Ogilvie home? If the entire site were finished and they really were gone, then sure, I’d buy one and then fix their poor attention to detail myself. Laminate flooring? I’d make sure the concrete underneath were flat before laying it. I’d remember to put beading on the skirting boards as well. I’d remember to seal the toilets, oh, and to actually fix them to the walls rather than lean them up against them. I’d remember to fix live electrical sockets to the walls and connect live lighting wires BEFORE signing off the electrical works. I’d remember to check that the doors and windows will actually close and lock before handing over the house, and I’d definitely make sure not to throw concrete rubble into the sewer drain as it will obviously (to a normal person) block. The list could (and does) go on and on. If they were still on the site of a house I wanted to buy? Even if they said that they’d be finished that week, I wouldn’t trust them at all and I’d look elsewhere.

Been in my new home 3 Months. None of my snagging issues even looked at by Ogilvie. Multiple Extras that I have payed nearly £1000 for up-front have either been installed incorrectly or not finished! Parts of my roof have come off in slight gusts. Despite multiple e-mails detailing my ongoing issues. Nobody from Ogilvie has reached out to get the ball rolling with any of these issues. Avoid this housebuilder.

I am a civil structural engineer. in April 2019 I purchased an apartment in a new building built by Ogilvie. in August 2019 I started having problems with water ingress close the window. I chased them for 2 months, in October 2019 Ogilvie finally decided to solve the problem. NOW, February 2020, I have the water problem again. Blair Goodlad was supposed to come to my flat this morning to check, but he didn't show up. Ogilvie has no respect for people, it is not a professional company. Be very careful when buying an Ogilvie apartment.

Bought an apartment in Rivermill, currie. Dunhaven homes had subcontracted to Ogilvie. Both firms have been utterly appalling. Still trying to get snagging done 2.5 years down the line.

Total disrespect for residents around their Dyce development, builders throwing rubbish from their vans after lunch, blocking cars in car parking spaces. Loud noise from 6.30am as the builders arrive and seem it necessary to shout across the carpark at each other.
