Rather lovely. Purchased some food for a picnic and a 'main' later. Ate the picnic overlooking the lake at Royal Studley. Particularly liked the smoked trout, duck rillets, ciabatta and olive rolls. The young man on the till was very helpful. A pleasure to shop here. Beware of shoppers reversing without looking all around in the car park. Typically very busy on a Saturday.

In M&S Ripon was refused to use the toilet because no receipt with code. Did not purchase anything because was on lunch break did not have time! Have shopped there before. I work as a community nhs worker have no access to toilet. I went to Next (next door) staff were understanding polite and let me use their staff loo. Rude girl at M&S even when I explained! What if a person was disabled, had stoma, colitus, menopause, urinary problems? Shame on you

Since "upgrade", has become almost Unbearable. Customers stand in narrow aisles chatting away, oblivious to other people and their temporary blockade. Young staff stood around gossiping and whinging about work and rather than assisting (especially when pricing down items), purposefully elongating the process. Music is loud and far far too upbeat. Achieving a engaging shopping experience, requires well practiced disassociation from overly upbeat anthems; which prove very distracting in style and volume. Decidedly underwhelming and sometimes flagrantly extortionate. Counter staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Elsewhere, lacking.

I think this M&S food hall is an excellent place to shop. The shop is all new and with very good displays of fresh food and chill cabinets all well layed out.

Certainly larger than some of the other MS food stores locally, visited mid afternoon it was very well stocked.
