5 most relevant · via GoogleThis is a good Lidl location where I shop frequently, but I felt compelled to write this review because the level of customer service from Billy today was on another level altogether. He was so warm, friendly and calming at the checkout, and is an absolute credit to the team.
I would like to formally report an upsetting experience I had at your Lidl store at players Road, Stirling on the night of 19 May 2026 at around 9:00pm–9:30pm there about. I visited the store after finishing work to complete my grocery shopping. I was there with my six-year-old son, and after already shopping at Farmfoods and Aldi, I came into Lidl specifically to buy the items I regularly purchase there, as Lidl is usually my preferred supermarket. After spending time selecting a large amount of groceries for my household, I got to the checkout and began unloading my items onto the conveyor belt. While doing this, the female cashier repeatedly told me to “be fast” and to hurry up moving my items forward so that other customers could start unloading theirs. I found her tone rude, impatient, and unnecessary, especially considering the amount of shopping I had and the fact that my young son was helping me unload everything as quickly as possible. I remained calm and continued unloading my items, but I eventually responded politely that she could not rush me and that I needed a moment to arrange my groceries properly. The situation then became even more uncomfortable when she instructed me to move the basket away immediately. I explained that I still needed the basket to pack my items after scanning, but she continued speaking to me in an aggressive and dismissive manner. At this point, I told her that her customer service was not acceptable and that I felt she was treating me disrespectfully. Shortly afterwards, another staff member, a slim male who I believe may have been a manager, approached the till area and pointed at me, saying words to the effect of “Hey, out! Out of this place!” I was deeply shocked and embarrassed by the way I was spoken to, especially in front of my child and other customers. I came into the store as a paying customer prepared to spend a significant amount of money on my monthly groceries, not to be humiliated or treated as though I had done something wrong. The entire experience left me extremely upset, angry, and distressed. After already going through the stress of a long working day and shopping for my family, I ended up abandoning my groceries and leaving the store because of how I was treated. I am requesting that this incident be properly investigated, including reviewing CCTV footage from the checkout area around the stated time. I would also appreciate feedback regarding what action will be taken concerning the behaviour of the staff involved. I have always enjoyed shopping at Lidl, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing to me. What a very sad night, and experience from very rude staff members. 😢😡
Me and the Mrs went through a phase of shopping in here a couple of times of month, but I'll never be back. The experience we had with one particular staff member (female on self checkout) was so laughably terrible we still talk about it and this was months ago. We have never experienced anything like it. She was rude, short and made a scene when the machine wouldn't work, blamed us for putting too much stuff on it. Whether or not that was the case, it's extremely unprofessional to make a scene about it infront of customers and blame them for the company's own equipment faults.I was genuinely gobsmacked and other customers noticed it as well.
Visited there and wasn’t sure how long parking was allowed for. I asked a staff member and found out there are no time restrictions for parking, which was actually great. Really helpful staff and a good experience overall.
