HEIMA Homeware + Hardware

Ordered a delightful folding wooden step stool from here (did not want a plastic one). Customer service was excellent and we received it very quickly. Hope to visit the shop next time I'm in York.

I love this shop. Every time we stay in York I make a bee-line for Heima as a proper old style hardware store that I remember from when I was young. I can spend ages browsing through the shelves and always seem to find something that I can’t do without. There are old fashioned items alongside every modern day necessities. I can’t recommend Heima highly enough.

Awful shop - it's difficult to put into words how irritated this shop made me. Clearly I'm not their target market. Was given a gift voucher and it's taken months to find things I might vaguely want despite several online visits. Nearly everything is unnecessarily expensive or over priced. Delivery costs a small fortune - over half the value of the voucher if there's anything needing age checking. It'd genuinely have been more useful to use the voucher as a firestarter than to waste time trying to spend it. Use Amazon instead.

Such a great shop! We're able to buy things that remind us of Sweden, and shop locally, sustainably and for beautiful things. I ordered online and the goods were delivered quickly and correctly. I can't wait to actually get the chance to browse the shop in person.

My husband bought me the beeswax bread bag and I am so impressed with the material and design! I now have something stylish , practical and eco-friendly to keep my homemade sourdough nice and fresh. Delighted.
