Dobbies Garden Centre Inverness

For the last 7 years i was in this restaurant maybe 15 times. I loved this place. Always kind and helpful staff. Quality and tasty food. New ideas for home cooking. Big area, time to time lots of people. The best chips in town. Today, after long time, i came again. I was looking forward to the pleasure of visiting, but what did I get? My order: cheese scone + butter, cherry scone + butter, chunky chips, seasonal vegetables and coffee latte. Chips now just tasty, not more. Cheese scone have inside black pepper! No information about it. 😔 After i paid my order, i come to the table behind the cashier guy, for cutlery and napkins. There were no napkins. Instead, the napkin holder contained a used tea bag, cherry pits, bread crumbs and other dirt. I asked the cashier for napkins. He said okay, and a minute later he came with big pack napkins. While he was unpacking the napkins, i showed him the dirt in the napkin holder. He said, okay, it is will clean. After that, he gave me some napkins and threw the rest on the napkin holder, so that the dirt would not be visible. And left... I spent 1 hour in here and anyone did not clean it. Two stars just for chips and kind women from kitchen. No more.

Everyone so friendly great chips and and Yorkshire pudding would come more often if I didn't live in Edinburgh

Restaurant, again soup and gluten free bread advertised, Can we have soup and gluten free bread please? No sorry don't have any gluten free bread!!! But yes you still have to pay the full price even though we advertise it but don't have !!! Remembering of cause that Dobbies is attached to a large Tesco that sells gluten free bread !! A typical 'lifestyle' garden center with cafe. Cafe was variable, but generous seating space. Cafe closes down today (30/11/2024) and the rest of the shop by the end of 2024.

Wow I went in for a breakfast and it was awful. The food quality was poor and the potatoe scones where too hard couldn't even eat them. The quality of the sausages are very cheap and the toast wasn't toasted enough. And too top it off the coffees where cold even though just been made it was still cold. I will definitely not eat here again. The staff didn't look like they wanted to be there and not great at the customer service aka even a simple smile would of helped. Don't waste you're money here
