Devon Block Management

I am not the complaining type however my conscience compels me to write a review. I do not want anyone who can help it to employ DBM or to send them their money if they can help it. If you would like to send money to people who then manage to magically disappear it with absolutely no explanation, then these are your people. I live in a grade 2 listed building - under their 'care' they have allowed it to essentially fall into disrepair, all whilst increasing our maintenance fees. Thousands are being given to these people year on year whilst this beautiful building remains the shabbiest on the street. It is a disgrace. When you ask them a question such as how much is in our reserve fund, why are we being charged for a cleaner that doesn't exist, why have building insurance charges increased by £1000 in 4 years, they have no answers. If you raise an issue such as damp to them, they do an investigation they have done before, charge us for it, find nothing, then try to forget about it in the hopes it disappears. This is not management. If they do do a job they do it as cheaply as humanly possible - I believe in 'do it right; do it once'. This is not their way of working. They do it wrong and then leave it - they do not bother to rectify it. They are currently trying to charge our block another £13k for works that should have been done over 7 years ago, and should be covered at the very least in part by our building maintenance fees. I do not want to send them another penny and intend on reporting them to the ombudsman as soon as they get back to me with what I'm sure will be an extremely inadequately reply to my formal complaint.

Shocking service do not use. £45 a month for nothing now getting letters in the post from the public liability insurance company saying they haven't been paying the policy. Plus never once seen anyone come around to maintain the communal area. Stay well away from this scam company

Absolutely shocking service. Do not respond to emails are never available when telephoning, have repeatedly failed to pay the gardeners that maintain our common areas and have failed to provide us with our bank statements for our Mews account. We are seriously unhappy with their total lack of professionalism and would advise anyone to think very carefully before engaging Devon Block Management Ltd.

This company is a complete disgrace. They avoid to pay their invoices, dodge all communication, and hide behind vague promises that “the MD is dealing with it” — weeks later, still nothing. Total lack of professionalism, accountability, or basic business ethics. If you’re thinking of working with them, don’t. You’ll be chasing ghosts and wasting your time.

The worst group of people you could come by! After several encounters with them, they love to take advantage of single women. Firstly they left a hole in my roof with insulation hanging down and refused to cover it (until a male requested the same outcome) then they just put a piece of wood they found in the skip over it. They then “fix” the above balconies as all downstairs properties are leaking, to now have worse leaks. (Again this is our problem and they have nothing to do with it) constant excuses for poor work. Non of their work fits building standards. Avoid at all cost. It’s not worth the hastle
