Cutting Edge Building Services Ltd

We have used Owen and his team for two house extensions. We have been thoroughly impressed both times. Owen went out of his way to meet our needs and keep us updated at all stages throughout our build by clear communication. We are well aware that complex building projects can throw up surprises eg. what was under our floor boards. Owen and his team dealt with these situations with a calm and professional manner and were able to explain our options and deliver the best results. Very little snagging - all dealt with quickly and with very little fuss. The team were always on time, worked hard and a pleasure to have around. We would highly recommend Cutting Edge. The fact we have used them twice (10 years apart) says it all!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service and Workmanship We did our research before choosing Cutting Edge Building Services Ltd, and after hearing only great things locally, we decided to go ahead — and we’re so glad we did. From the first meeting, Owen was approachable, professional, and genuinely helpful. He took time to go through our ideas, plans, and budget in detail, and stayed in touch in the months leading up to the start date to make sure everything was ready. During the build, both Owen and his team were fantastic — friendly, hardworking, and reliable. They always turned up when they said they would, worked to a high standard, and had great communication throughout. Even when Owen wasn’t on site, there was always someone to speak with, and he was never more than a phone call away. We really appreciated the weekly progress emails and clear, itemised invoices, which made the whole process smooth and transparent. Our double-storey extension has been finished to an exceptional standard, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. It’s clear the whole team take real pride in their work — and it shows. We’ve already recommended Cutting Edge Building Services Ltd to friends and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again

Owen and his team went above and beyond with my Edinburgh flat renovation. When issues arose, Owen took the time to carefully explain all the options, making sure I understood the implications—even drawing them out to help me visualise things. Unlike other builders I’ve dealt with, he was quick to respond and never made me feel like any task was too small or insignificant. Even when I said something didn’t matter, he made sure it was still done properly. That attention to detail really set him apart. Renovations can be stressful, but Owen and his team made the process so much smoother that I would happily go through it all again if I could book them. His pricing was very fair, and at no point did I feel like I was being taken advantage of. I honestly can’t speak highly enough of the team, and I’m so grateful for the care and professionalism they put into my project.

Owen and team recently completed a building project for me involving an attic conversion and porch and i am delighted with the results. He took time to fully understand our requirements and through his extensive experience and creativity was able to suggest several small improvements to the design which really made a difference. The finish was of exceptionally high standard and the team were professional, courteous and responsive throughout our engagement. I would highly recommend.
