Boots

I have to say that i have been a loyal customer of Boots for many years, both in London and when i moved to Wells four years ago. The pharmacy staff are exemplary, extremely efficient and helpful. The problem arises when wanting to pay for items, and finding that only one of the counters are open to pay, yesterday was a typical instance where there was a very long queue, there was a young man just checking shelves, on asking him if someone could perhaps go on the till near the door, his reply was no, they could not. Eventually after some time he opened another till. Again today when wanting to pay by the door as the pharmacist was busy serving, the same young man checking stock, asked if i was paying by card. I was not so he served me, would have been useful to have a notice if there was a problem with card payments. Sadly so often i leave and go to Superdrug, where the till is always manned, and the overall service is excellent.

I took in a camera to be developed at the start of July. We’ve since been up 5 times to collect the photos and every time we’re told to ‘wait another week’. At this point I believe they’ve lost the photos - when we asked where they could be we’ve been told ‘nothing to do with us we just receive the parcels’

Was given wrong information about appointment for a flu jab, tried booking on line internet poor in village so no can do. Tried ring the store then cut off. Tried rinning again till it rang out then cut off. What a store.......

Spent along time waiting in a long Q after a women pushed in front of us all. Watched an assistant scanning stuff on the floor for 10 mins before she opened another till and attended to the long Q. Asked why my item wasn't on offer as advertised and was advised it's because I didn't have my boots card on me- wouldn't look me up and when I asked for a new card she said they didn't have any in the shop. All while I have two children around my feet. To top it off my items were half price in Superdrug down the road!

Needed an emergency prescription whilst on Holiday , staff were unhelpful and very unfriendly, we sorted the problem easily at Wells Pharmacy, a much more professional establishment. Avoid Boots in Wells !!! Zero stars would be more appropriate
