Westwood Security Shutters Ltd

AVOID PLEASE!!! Had this so called professional company fit a new roller shutter door for my model railway display that I intended to open to the public to view in exchange for donations for a local charity. Don’t get me wrong, the door came and was fitted as as agreed and the first 5 weeks it was all smooth and working lovely, but then disaster!! On wanting to open for a school trip arriving I had an issue with the motor not working - when I say not working it was seized!! With smoke bellowing from it!! After calming the visitors down and reassuring them all was ok I understandably rang WESTWOOD security doors to report the problem!! My door was fitted and assured to be warranted for peace of mind so I was hopeful of a quick resolution and fix- this is where things went very wrong!! I was rudely corrected that in fact my door would not be warranted as I was using it more than I had stated I would be!!! 🧐 Feeling completely drained I sent an email and requested a call from the owner himself who did get back to me but not with what I wanted to hear. 😩 Apparently I had on quote said I would be opening and closing just once a day and only 5 days a week. This company researched my charity page and screenshot that I had in fact advertised over the Xmas period advertised a special event with a volunteer Santa to meet the children and would be open no less than 6 days a week!! Yes one extra day!!! Keeping in mind I do all this solely for charity I begged and pleaded with the company to help us out here and their simple response was I was using the door more than I should have been and therefore the warranty was VOID!!! I have since had this fixed out of my own personal pocket not to take any money out of the charity pot but the way we have been treated has lead me to take a hard decision to leave this review!! I would NOT recommend this company to my worst nightmare!!! If this is how they treat a charity I dare not think how anyone else would get on trying to resolve and issues with this company!!! PLEASE BE WARNED!!!

I cannot express enough my total disappointment and shock of of the behaviour and approach of this company. I simply questioned a few points on a quote and fitment of a new door and I was met by complete unprofessional service which then lead to verbal abuse and threats to my company premises and family!! After logging a complaint with the police I have my mind at rest and feel I really have to warn others of this!! BE SERIOUSLY WARNED!! We feel we gad a very lucky escape not using this firm and now have a perfect roller shutter fitted at a fraction of the price and quality second to none!!

This company were fantastic, the service was excellent, the staff are lovely and the roller shutter looks so smart. Very happy customer thank you so much

The installation was great quick clean and professional

Excellent service from start to finish. Pamela was very helpful and the team fitting the roller shutter door were friendly, easy going and very good at what they do. From deciding to go with this company the guys measured up for the door and it was fitted the following day. Couldn't ask for a better service.
