Rob from Westone Housing has been brilliant from start to finish. We had a water leak under the floor on Thursday 14 January 2026. With a 4-week-old baby at home, the insurance company treated it as an emergency and appointed a project manager. After the leak was detected and stopped, Rob from Westone Housing came in to strip out everything affected, including damaged flooring, sections of wall, and carpets in two other rooms. It was a big job and he worked incredibly hard, spending almost a week getting it all done properly. We’ve had seven dehumidifiers running 24/7 for nearly four weeks, so it’s been a very disruptive time in the house. Rob was extremely considerate, keeping noise to a minimum as much as possible because of our newborn. He was also very tidy, clearing up dust and mess at the end of each day and keeping the work areas as clean and safe as he could. Rob is always polite, professional, and hardworking, and he genuinely cares about doing a good job. I’m very impressed with him, and Westone Housing are lucky to have him. 5 stars without any doubt.

Took 4 months and constant chasing to get my insurance claim sorted. They gave me a painter/decorator who spoke absolutely no English and every conversation was via a translation app which led to confusion on occasions. They put the wrong paint on the walls. One (thin) coat of the correct paint later and it was obvious it needed another coat. Did not paint behind the radiators. Did not put masking tape where needed. I am now painting a second coat myself and have the job of removing all the paint overlaps on my coving, skirting board and door frames. They 'forgot' to let me know that I needed to remove all my furniture when the floor and ceiling were being removed! As I had so little furniture, I had assumed they would work round it. They kept insisting that they had nobody on their books that did artexing on ceilings. They tried to persuade me to take the money and arrange for the artex to be done privately which would have led to me being out of pocket. I am 72 yrs old and live on my own. The stress from all of this has left me with severe depression.

They’re an absolute disaster. They were appointed to do some repairs by my LV house insurance. 10 months in and nothing has been resolved. The project manager does absolutely nothing and I’ve had to chase every single step of the way. Theres still a huge hole in my wall where they ripped out all my plaster board, they cut off all the electricity in my kitchen and just left it for months, they’ve ripped lights off my wall and not put them back. It’s an absolute disgrace what they’re doing to peoples homes. Reading the reviews on here, it seems I’m not the only one. Complete cowboys.

Westone Housing Ltd were appointed by my insurers to replace my garage door that my neighbour had crashed her car into. I am totally impressed with how they dealt with my claim from start to finish. I found them very professional. Today I had my new garage door fitted and I am over the moon with the work carried out. The tradesman were very friendly and did a great job.I definitely would recommend Westone Housing Ltd and use them again. Thank you from a very happy customer 😊

My experience with Westone can be summarised as: poor communication, poor standards of work, poor project management and no ownership or accountability. Westone took on an insurance job appointed by our loss adjustor in May 2023. The project started with the project manager doing a ‘no show’ on Day One and provided contradictory account on why he was absent. From there on the work only started a month later and half-way through they went quiet for 2 months. After repeated chasing only for me to find out that the project manager had left the company! How on earth the firm had no idea about progress of the projects this person was handling is beyond me. After another site visit, they did send a one man band over to complete the work but we were still left with snagging issues which was raised in October and we only had another site visit in January. After which they went radio silent again. After I chased and queried on what is going to happen they then started arguing the details of the repair work and refuse to acknowledge the repair was not like for like and clearly below par for what was originally there. Throughout the past 5 months they showed no commitment to return to fix the issues. For building work that can be completed in less than one month, it has taken them 10 months without even finishing it so I say they are fired! I would give 0 stars! How a company can manage building projects without proper records of what work needs to be carried out? How can a company do business with such blatant lack of customer focus? It is unthinkable that a company like this will survive in this day and age. Avoid at all costs!
