TLT Property Management Belfast

First ever interaction with Trevor today since he took over the apartment block where I own property. Sadly first impression he is rude, arrogant and gave no consideration to the major issue reported again today!

Trevor was my estate agent/ landlord for over 4 years. In that time we had a number of small issues arise and Trevor and the team at TLT always got it sorted in speedy time. Having rented with other agencies in the past who were terrible. communication was always fast and Trevor was always willing to help accommodate us with our tenancy arrangements. I can’t recommend them enough.

Previous tenant at 40 Joy Street. Throughout the tenancy, landlord was incredibly difficult to get in contact with. Small issues normally took weeks/months to deal with. Some never were leading us to just deal with them. House was in a disgusting state when we moved in and we were assured it had been "professionally cleaned" Upon leaving the house we had left it absolutely immaculate and were told we should have have issue getting our money back. As soon as we left and were no longer gace to face The landlord tried everything in his power to get some of our deposit. Lied about things we had "left there" tried to catch us out via the inventory which was proved wrong. Made false claims that they had paid an outside agency to remove waste but were unable to provide evidence when a case was made. We won the case in the end as it was clear the landlord was a thief and a liar. I'm only upset that there is nothing more i can do except leave a review as I don't think anyone should be allowed to do this. Especially to younger tenants or students who might be more susceptible to it. My advise to anyone unfortunate enough to deal with this company is to take pictures of everything. Have evidence ready for the end of tenancy because no matter what they will try to fleece you of something.

My dealings with TLT Property Management have been extremely unpleasant, and I urge potential tenants to steer clear if they value their rights and finances. The close of my tenancy revealed a predatory approach to handling deposits that should alarm anyone considering renting from them. In addition to this they simply ignored any requests to fix legitimate issues within the house. This resulted in us spending far more money than we should have on heating the place. Despite leaving the property in a cleaner condition than upon move-in, we were blindsided by fabricated cleaning charge deductions from our deposit. The invoice provided by TLT Property Management as "proof" was questionable to say the least. Further investigation reveals my experience is not unique but part of a pattern. There are a number of reviews for ex tenants who felt TLT tried to swindle tenants out of their deposits. Moreover, my interactions with the rental manager, Leigh, have significantly compounded my grievances. Leighs attitude throughout our tenancy and particularly during the dispute over the deposit was not just unprofessional but downright unpleasant. Leigh’s approach to tenant communication was dismissive and often condescending, contributing to an already stressful situation. The lack of transparency and decency in handling our legitimate concerns only highlights a broader culture within TLT Property Management . Entering a tenancy with TLT Property Management was a significant error and I would advise anyone considering renting from TLT Property Management to rethink their decision. Countless reputable landlords and management companies respect tenant rights and engage in ethical business practices. Avoid giving you money to these people . Protect yourself and your finances by seeking accommodations elsewhere. If you do choose to enter a tenancy agreement with this cowboy business, please take pictures of literally everything so that you can defend yourself in the likely chance they try keep your deposit.

Avoid Avoid Avoid. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Charge for stuff that they cannot provide invoices for. They have been the worse management company, extremely incompetent, inefficient, and failed to repaired anything correctly. Most important their accounting records are always wrong. They will sell something cheap, but you will be left with a massive bill once you leave them for areas they failed to maintain. Where to begin about this company. My advice is DO NOT use them for Block Management. They abuse their position and attempt to make everything seem very cheap, when in fact they do not notify the shareholders of any repairs that is needed. They failed to notify shareholders in relation to major health and safety concerns in respect of the fire alarm system. They arranged to have the telephone line in lift disconnected and failed to notify shareholders of health and safety concerns with the lift which they were aware of and did not pass on to shareholders due to costs of repairs. There accounting procedures are awful. They did not allow for any contingency fund whatsoever!! They have not provided invoices for works that they say has been undertaken. They have not returned a response to three emails and 2 text messages. They took a phone by surprise and couldn't get off the phone quick enough. In the process of getting the police involved due to abuse of process and what appears fraudulent activity on the company accounts from when this company managed the accounts. I have asked for invoices and they have failed to provided them. Disappointing to have use this as forum, however, Trevor has failed to response to any of my emails using the excuse he hasn't got them.
