Tesco Superstore

I have been a Tesco customer for more years than I can remember. I use the device that calculates as you shop. At my New Year's large shop I failed to register 1 item. Fair enough. Since then on the space of a couple of months I've been targeted at least 3 times including checking my whole weekly shop. I'm presuming it's programmed to catch me trying to get away without paying for my fish fingers. Tesco might want to set up a system where the till emits a siren and flashing lights and a voice from the heavens declares a suspected thief has been apprehended. I asked to speak with a manager but after waiting for over 5 minutes she had not bothered to meet me. Hope she's ok. All I wanted to know is when the checks return to a standard level. Methinks I will cancel my Tesco clubcard risk Lidl.

At the Bentrim Tesco’s in Lisburn kids were operating the barriers at the entry and exit from the petrol, leaving them insecure in the fully up position by removing the barrier locking pin. Annoying for customers but very dangerous if barrier fell. It may have damaged a vehicle or worse hit a customer. My point is, why were the kids able to remove barrier position locking pins. Perhaps they should have been secured to prevent their removal. Additionally, security were slow to react.

They closed the doors 20minutes before they closed at 11pm. They usually close the doors at 10:50pm, which is fair. Staff tried telling an elderly man who wanted bread and milk they where closed at 10:40pm. Rude staff member made faces at him. (Elderly man did get his milk and bread in the end, helped by another customer who seen what happened). Never had a problem before in this tesco. Some staff need kicked and fired for treating customers like that.

I go here quite often. Most of the staff here a quite pleasant. The butchers and the deli are great and always helpful and friendly. It's quite a big store and you can get most things here. Loads of free parking and a filling station and do it yourself car wash right next door. There's also glass recycling and some secondhand clothes bins up the back near the click and collect. And local busses and taxis right at the front door.

It's a decent shop, but not my favourite +variety of selection of food, better than LIDL +more chemicals and household items than LIDL +parking is very large +staff usually never rude +stores alcohol +good mix of self checkout and manual tills +has designated customer service desk -quite expensive lately -can get very crowded
