Spectrum Specialist Support

I’ve worked with Spectrum for approaching 10 years now. They have undertaken roof cleans, render/cladding steam cleans, TORC and DOFF cleans, gutter and drainage clearances, glazing/window/door/balcony/decking/patio cleans. We have also had them undertake concrete repairs and restoration of stone work on conservation and listed properties. We undertake a cyclical redecoration programme for a large social housing client and have used Spectrum on multiple jobs every year on this contract to support the delivery. Lucian is extremely knowledgeable in his field and his expertise has been leant on by ourselves as the main contractor and our client to find the best and most economical solutions to getting jobs done. Spectrum have used abseiling, MEWPs (cherry pickers) as well as working from ground up to 6-7 stories in order to access often very hard to reach areas saving thousands on scaffold costs. One particular job that comes to mind was a block that hung over a canal, where Spectrum then abseiled to overcome the need for scaffolding. Lucians communication is excellent and full job reports are provided on all projects to evident the work completed along with before/during/completion photos. He’s operatives are tidy, extremely polite and helpful, while also being very aware of the environments they are working in, to ensure we receive excellent levels of resident satisfaction as part of our KPI collections. They work closely with our site management teams to programme access into all areas of buildings, liaising with tenants and RLOs to ensure they are flexible around the needs of the customers. I would not hesitate to use Spectrum again and in fact they will continue to be used moving forward. Many of the blocks we work on are paying leasehold customers so the level of expectation on service and quality is extremely high and we’ve often had glowing reports on the outcomes that can be produced by his patented cleaning methods which achieve finishes that you’d only expect from painting.

​We recently used Spectrums services for our building, and couldn’t be happier with the quality of the service. The team were fast to respond from the initial enquiry through to booking the work in. They initially had to move our appointment to a different date, but the communication was fast and responsive, and worked around any issues quickly and efficiently. The guys that did the work were amazing, they worked around everything we threw at them, and they were really patient with us, and went beyond what they were meant to do from the original quote, so thank you guys. We really felt like we were in safe hands, and I just wished all other contractors were like this, you can tell they really care! Thank you Spectrum team, you guys are the best.

I am writing this review because I am extremely disappointed with the standards and quality of work provided by this company. They caused significant damage to my not long ago refurbished balconies, they ruined everything they possibly could. I am attaching pictures as evidence. This company is not up to a professional standard and cannot be trusted. Don’t rely on the positive reviews without photographic proof—they do not reflect the reality of their work. I have pictures and other evidence documenting their poor-quality workmanship. Initially, they came to clean the stonework, and the results were terrible, as clearly shown in the attached photos. After several requests, they returned for a second attempt, yet the outcome was still far below an acceptable standard. For comparison, I’ve also included a screenshot of the stonework from a few years ago when I had it professionally cleaned privately. The difference in quality between this company and the previous professional service is enormous and very disappointing. Additionally, they refused to use my high-quality paint, which comes with a 10-year warranty, insisting on using their own. As the pictures show, the handrails they painted are in terrible condition compared to mine. This is despite my paint being only 3–4 years old, while their paint is just one month old. To make matters worse, this morning they stripped off the four existing coats of my handrail paint just to apply one coat of their cheap paint. Despite my several emails and contacts asking if any further work was planned, three weeks ago I requested that they put Corex protection on my surfaces while carrying out the refurbishment. Today, they ignored this request. As a result, all my newly laid projects are ruined with paint splashes and debris. Despite their attempts to clean, many particles remain. I had clearly instructed them not to touch my wooden handrail, but they ruined it. They also damaged my special “Tree of Life” plant, which is very disappointing. These contractors are clearly not properly trained, and their managers are not competent. I asked several times for documents outlining how the job would be done—the method statement—but they never responded. They simply do whatever they want, without notice. Even today, they started the work without informing me what they were going to do. The entire project has been a total disaster. I cannot recommend this company under any circumstances, and I strongly advise potential customers to be extremely cautious.

I’ve been using Spectrum since 2019 for various building-related works, and they’ve consistently delivered to a very high standard. This review, however, is specifically for the recent DOFF cleaning of the brickwork. The transformation was genuinely impressive. They brought the entrance back to life the brickwork now looks fresh, clean and almost new again. Professional, efficient and clearly experienced in what they do

I wish to complain, in the strongest possible terms, about a disturbance that occurred this morning, Sunday 30th November, 2025 at the Imperial Wharf London. At 8am! this morning, a large mobile diesel electric generator was parked and powered up directly below the balcony of my residence. This machinery emitted a terrible noise as well as toxic fumes directly below residents’ windows, persisting for a number of hours. Such conduct is deplorable; a serious health hazard, fire hazard and noise nuisance, completely without regard for local residence. To avoid confrontation with residence, especially considering that it was a Sunday when most residences would be occupied, workers could have chosen to move the generator onto the road at some distance from balconies. This clearly demonstrates their lack of respect and professionalism, ignoring health and safety issues. I hope that this matter can be brought to the attention of those concerned.
