South West Wall Ties

Excellent job on re-pointing and wall-tie replacement at the rear of our Edwardian house in Exeter, as well as first-time re-pointing of a long 135 year-old garden wall at the rear of the house, all in lime mortar. Both parts of the work were of good quality and started and finished on time. Lane has first-class technical knowledge, is a good communicator, and he and the team were a pleasure to have around. This is the third time Lane has worked for us on different parts of the house over the past 12 years. No hesitation in recommending.

Devon Wallcare performed a wall tie survey on the property we were buying. Our structural survey flagged a potential problem and we were unsure how big an issue it was going to be. Devon Wallcare were quick, efficient and reasonably priced. The survey gave us the detail to understand the issue, what to do about it and how much it would cost. Very grateful for their expertise and speedy service. Would definitely recommend.

Layne & his team are fantastic, from the initial enquiry, fixed cost quote right through to completing the work, everything was handled smoothly & professionally. Layne is quite obviously incredibly knowledgeable and skilled and took time to explain what they found. Also, do yourself a favour and use his scaffolding guys, highly competitive (virtually no difference in cost from the other quotes we had) and he'll get exactly the set-up he needs to do the work without you having to manage two parties :)

Devon Wallcare came to sort out the failing wall tie issue on our property. Layne explained everything in a simple but professional way. The work was carried out quickly and the team were conscientious with bringing tools and materials through the house. Well recommended!

We instructed South West Wall Ties (Devon Wallcare) to complete a pre-purchase cavity wall tie survey in Exeter. The survey took place on time and the report and follow-up advice was easy to understand (for a layman like me!) and represented very good value for money. I would recommend to friends and family. *** UPDATED June 2023 We instructed South West Wall Ties (Devon Wallcare) to replace our cavity wall ties, fit helical bars and repoint the rear of our property. The work was completed over 3 weeks, as planned, on time and to the highest standard. Layne and his team were a pleasure to work with, kindly helped with a few ad hoc requests (e.g. fixing some flashing on the chimney) and made an extra effort to accommodate our daily schedules. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend South West Wall Ties to friends and family. Thank you, Layne!
