We are both now into our late seventies, but my wife and I decided to ‘go green’ and in the spring began to investigate the possibilities of replacing our aging oil-fired boiler by the installation into our 25- year-old house of both a heat pump /boiler combo and a PV solar panel system with storage batteries. After much research and studying many on-line customer reviews, we decided to make contact with Premiair who’s website makes it clear that as well as air conditioning they specialised in both heat pump and solar PV installations in Peterborough and the surrounding area. I was more than impressed when I received a lengthy phone call from Nathan, the Sales Manager, within twenty minutes of sending my initial email of enquiry. As a representative of Premiair, he came over as a competent and knowledge professional and this was indeed a most encouraging initial customer experience. Nathan discussed our requirements and offered to visit us for a free consultation and a site survey in two days’ time - things were indeed moving fast! At this first meeting we hit it off very well and he immediately understood our specific heating needs and budgetary requirements and after finding out that we already had an underfloor heating system in place encouraged us that an air-source heat pump was an ideal replacement for the old boiler. I was particularly impressed by this very personalised service and his friendly advice. Within the week, Nathan came back to us with a comprehensive breakdown of what needed to be done and a quotation for what was required; and so, a flurry of email traffic began between us. We were happy with his quotation and after an initial site visit by electrician Danny, we decided that our aging electrical consumer (fuse-box) unit should be replaced too and this was also added to Premiair’s list of modifications to our house. Nathan then produced an outline but comprehensive ‘programme-of-works’ which envisaged our project starting within three weeks of my initial enquiry. The logistics of materials and equipment delivery went smoothly and the Premiair team of workmen were professional, courteous and efficient. They started by laying down protective plastic runners on all of the carpets that they were likely to walk over and for the most part attempted to cause us as little disruption as possible. They frequently liaised with us to ensure that the installation moved smoothly forward with plumbers (led by Dean) and electricians Danny and Kuda working as one well-oiled unit. Our old Megaflo tank and boiler were ripped out and both the ASHP and its matched boiler system were installed and powered-up. The first and only real problem encountered was the complex connection to our underfloor heating pipework via a new digitally controlled manifold unit. This took ages to get right, but I have no complaints here and we were totally realistic about problems like this needing to be solved as they occurred. As a customer, you need to be aware that every house is different, so every installation often requires much problem solving by the fitting teams. Eventually we did get hot water flowing through the under-floor system in all of the downstairs rooms and to the upstairs radiators too; all areas are now capable of being controlled from digital wall thermostats or from the very useful phone app. Next came the installation of the Solar PV by Kenny and his team; once again they were friendly careful and extremely competent - this neat and very tidy system has since turned out to be an excellent choice for us. This system can also be monitored by an excellent phone app. and it has significantly reduced our electricity consumption from the grid. Nathan’s overall management of our complex installation and the dogged tenacity which he displayed (required at times to satisfy the Microgeneration Certification Scheme’s assessors) is to be admired and we have no hesitation in highly recommending Premiair Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Ltd. for works such as this. Very happy to recommend this company which did everything as promised, and to time AND to a high standard.Domestic AC install took place within a few weeks of requesting a home visit fir quotation. Nathan listened well, quotes arrived as requested, very happy with attention to detail at outset. Very pleased with the install team who arrived promptly, were polite and considerate throughout and ran a tidy site. Professional approach extended through to the back office staff who responded promptly to all requests for information, timely and polite responses at all times. God job well done indeed. We had air con fitted at home by Premiair, one downstairs and two upstairs. The service and attention to detail from start to finish has been amazing. The installers were knowledgeable, professional and kept us informed of progress across the two days of work.

It took me several years to decide to have air con in my bedroom. I got several quotes but I was most impressed by Nathan. The cost was competitive and the quote detailed. Nino and Harry carried out my installation and I was impressed by how professional and tidy they were. Nino involved me in all aspects of the installation and set up the app on my phone.
