Pimlico offers a reliable, trustworthy and efficient service. My “go to” company for all home improvement, repair and servicing issues in central London. These are photos of recent installations in my small kitchen and bathroom. Very happy with the result. I also had the electrical fuse board upgraded plus kitchen appliances all checked/tested and rewired. I am now confident that my electrical wiring complies with code.

I Booked Pimlico Plumbers to install an under-sink water softener and paid the minimum charge in advance. We had recently fitted a new kitchen and specifically ensured the area under the sink was prepared for a water softener installation. There was clear access and the necessary space ready. When the engineer attended, I was quoted approximately 4 hours of labour plus £100 for parts, including rerouting pipework and the drain. This came as a surprise given the preparation that had already been done. When I asked whether all of that work was necessary, the engineer responded, “Are you the plumber or am I? I have 30 years’ experience.” I found this response dismissive and unhelpful when I was simply trying to understand the quotation. I chose not to proceed as I felt the scope of work was excessive. No installation work was carried out. I then arranged for another plumber to assess the same job. The installation was completed for £280 in total, and no pipe rerouting or the drain was required. I requested a refund of the advance payment on the basis that no work had been undertaken, but this was declined. Overall, I am disappointed with both the communication and the refusal to refund the minimum charge. I would strongly recommend that anyone booking clarifies in writing exactly what the minimum charge covers and what happens if you decide not to proceed after receiving a quotation.

Excellent service from start to finish. We had an emergency leak from the upstairs bathroom coming through the kitchen ceiling, and Tony arrived within an hour of our call. He quickly identified and fixed the issue within a few hours, and fortunately had the parts needed with him, hence no time wasted. Professional, efficient and reassuring throughout — highly recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Louis, our gas engineer, who has been coming regularly to check our gas system. His professionalism stands out from the moment he arrives! D’Arcy and her helper worked tirelessly at the complicated business of replacing with an up to date Vailant our 15 year old Vailant boiler. They were polite and tidy. D,Arcy is getting new taps for our top flat bath and fixing the leak of the cold tap. Thanks and well done, to Pimlico Plumbers.
