Morrisons

Above and beyond! We had trouble with a self service till and nearly had to leave all our shopping as we were coming up to the time limit on parking. A very nice young lady (we didn't get her name, but she had long, blond hair) came to help us. She sorted out our parking problem and opened a till especially for us. Nothing was too much trouble and she saved the day, giving us a pleasant shopping experience. We could do with more assistants like her! Thank you Morrisons for employing such a lovely young lady.

Despite its 6 month long major refit making the store a lot larger and nicer it still has a really big problem. This problem has persisted for some years now and the store seems unable to solve it. This problem is that often, in fact more often than not, if you want fresh veg or fruit you will have little choice unless the store has been open for 3 or 4 hours. They claim that residents have complained so that their lorries cannot offload until after 7 am. Yet many is the time I have been in the shop late morning and the fruit and veg isles are low on stock or out of stock of items. Last month on a Saturday morning at 11am I reckon they had approx 75% empty shelves on the fruit and veg section. I took photos and sent them to Morrison’s HO who promised to investigate. If you what fresh fruit and veg in town go to Lidl or Asda. At least they keep their shelves fully stocked on a regular basis. Here are some photos of the Saturday morning 11am visit.

This was the best breakfast I have eaten in a Morrison's, as they are usually cold and dried up where they have been cooked ages before customers order them. The food store is good also with a great range of produce, and has 3 hours free parking in their carpark adjacent, and also has its own petrol station. Update Feb 17 - Had a disgusting meal in the Restaurant this evening after waiting almost 40mins for it to arrive, the tiny piece of fish was as dry as turkey in a burnt batter along with dry & extremely rock hard chips, the staff were too busy fooling about in the kitchen, almost everybody left their food, this visit has really changed my overall impression of this store, so disappointing!

Great for every day shop but not the best meat free selection

Constantly out of stock on so many items, checkouts are always under-staffed. A couple of the staff have been quite rude at the checkouts also. My local store definitely needs a management review. Customer service appalling. Many dodgy offers if you're not paying attention.
