McMillan's Cleaning and Restoration

From start to finish, my experience with McMillan’s cleaning and restoration was excellent. I was kept informed about who was doing the job and when they would arrive. He arrived bang on time and did a great job of cleaning my couches. He was very polite and professional. I would highly recommend.

Delighted with the results of our Karndean Flooring. Company who removed our fridge freezer scraped the flooring and we were unsure it could be repaired. The job done by McMillans, who cleaned and resealed the floor was a success and the flooring now looks like new. Very happy customer 😀

We were really pleased with how clean our sofa and armchair came up after the service. They both look great and smell lovely and fresh, so we’re happy with the cleaning results themselves. However, we were disappointed with how much water was left behind. Before the appointment, we specifically asked how wet everything would be and were told it wouldn’t be too bad, just to leave the doors open for ventilation. In reality, there were large puddles of water left on our wooden floor and wooden side table, both of which have unfortunately been left with slight water damage. We feel this could have been easily avoided by putting protective sheets down or, at the very least, wiping up the excess water before leaving. We moved a lot of furniture and belongings out of the way beforehand, and we’re very glad we did because there was much more water than we expected. We also had to put the cushions outside in the sunshine to help them dry, as they were soaking wet. It’s now around eight hours later and the sofa is still very damp. While we’re happy with how clean everything looks, we do think more care should have been taken to protect our home and to set realistic expectations about how wet the furniture would be and how long it would take to dry.

We fitted new carpeting throughout the house when we moved to our Milngavie flat from Bearsden five years ago. It was time for a spruce up, and we left the sprucing to McMillan's, who we had used in the past. Our Friday morning sprucer turned out to be Paul, who arrived bang on time, and immediately struck us as 100% professional, and easy on the ear We had two setees in need of attention along with the carpets, and in no time at all (just a few hours) he had the lot done. We had to wait until the following day, of course, for things to dry and assess the fruits of Paul's labour. Suffice to say, we were hugely impressed. Our carpets and sofas have been given a new lease of life. Well done that man. Our bill was a modest one (less than £300) for all work done. We considered that money very well spent. My recommendation for McMillan's and its operative could not be higher.

Really good experience from booking, right through to the clean on the day. We had two of our old sofas cleaned. They now look great and smell fresh. Would recommend!
