Homebase Gloucester

This store has recently had a refit inside. It is now very organised compared to what it used to be like. There is a new little kitchen department and some great displays on their Garden furniture area. The garden centre was well stocked with some lovely plants. Nice friendly staff as well who were helpful with my questions.

Looks on the verge of closing down with many categories having heavy discounts applied. There’s clearly a good bargain to be had however most of the high discounts are on items you’d never need so don’t be fooled. Big store and nice upstairs area just check you can bring stuff back particularly if it’s closing down.

I placed an online order tonight which was available for collection tomorrow. I really wanted my purchase tonight and so I contacted a lovely lady in store by phone who was really great, absolutely no trouble at all in preparing my order tonight which really helped me out! What's more, upon collection of several very large storage tubs, a gentleman of an employee was incredibly helpful, assisting me to my car in the rain and helping me to load them all in. He was personable and this level of service was truly refreshing so thank you! It's service like this that keeps customers like me coming back, both employees are an absolute credit to the store! 5*****

Has the feel of a store that won't be around for much longer. Whilst downstairs is all stocked, the majority of upstairs is all blocked off now. Appears to be minimum staff at all times. Never particularly busy. No big clearance or store closing sale just yet but it just feels tired which is a shame as it has a good location with plenty of parking.

Called today at my local store, in Gloucester, to purchase a tool chest. It's no wonder they're struggling. I found the tool chest only to find they came with a free gift.......a used comb, see photo. Think I'll look around.
