Get Licensed

I recently completed my SIA course with Get Licensed, trained by John Redfern, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. John was a brilliant trainer — helpful, patient, and great at keeping the class at a comfortable pace. He shared real stories from his own time working as a Door Supervisor, including mistakes he made and what he learned from them, which made the training feel genuine and relatable. What really stood out was how he created a relaxed atmosphere. I walked in feeling shy and nervous, but he had music playing in the mornings to break the ice and make sure no one felt put on the spot. His one‑liners and jokes throughout the day kept the room calm and engaged. The interaction in the class was spot on. He got people involved in real‑life scenarios — searching, handcuffing, dealing with drunk customers, and removing people safely. I took part in a few of these, and as someone who learns better by doing rather than just listening, it made a massive difference. It was fun, hands‑on, and helped the information stick. Overall, the course was thorough, detailed, and genuinely enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend doing your SIA training with John Redfern — he’s a top‑quality trainer who knows how to teach, motivate, and make everyone feel comfortable. Thanks so much John for all your help and support and great training from Tyrone Moricette

I was not looking forward to doing this course and the first aid course. I was the only female on the course and the instructor didn't ask me to do something that would make me feel uncomfortable. The instructor was brilliant he took his time to explain everything and if you were struggling with the practical he was more than happy to sit down with you and explain what was required. Instead of it being boring and was absolutely dreading doing it turned out pretty good and more interesting than I expected. I would highly recommend this course

I would highly recommend get licenced. And Paul the instructor. Paul was very informative and patient. He made the course really enjoyable. There was a lot of new material to go through and be assessed on but Paul made it less daunting.

Get Licensed was the perfect choice for me! The course was truly worth it, from the well-structured classes to the exceptional teaching and highly professional trainers. They delivered every session with clarity, confidence, and genuine passion, ensuring that we didn’t just learn, but fully understood the real skills and responsibilities required to become an effective Door Supervisor. A big shout-out to the entire Training Team once again, your dedication made all the difference! GET LICENSED — YOU ARE THE BEST!!! 👏🎉

Just two days before I completed my SIA course held in Coventry by Get Licensed . The instructor , Shaun was knowledgeable, professional , friendly , approachable and thoughtful of each trainee in the the class room. He made sure that no one left behind and took the time to answer all the questions patiently and created a supportive learning environment and ensured everyone understood the materials, even the instructor Allistair who was there to assist the class for one day was no exception. I would highly recommend this training with Get Licensed to anyone looking to complete their SIA course. Thank you to the instructors and to all my fellow trainees for making it such and enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
