Cobden Street Household Waste and Recycling Centre - R4GM/SUEZ

So I didn’t pull into a bay.. wasn’t aware I needed to whilst one the staff just goes off on one. Maybe raise awareness first rather than getting all agro? Definitely had some anger management issues going on..

I walked there today to correctly recycle some items as a responsible citizen. And the guy at the cubicle told me that I should not be taking items all the time and that the bin is for occasional use. First of all I don't understand how does he know how often I go there - I had never seen the person before. What does it mean occasional use? Going a couple of times over the last 2 months to recycle few bagged items properly I believe it is occasional! I had not visited the tip for 10 years that i live in the area and I will not visit it again for the rest of my lifetime. Isn't it occasional enough? I believe their problem is that they don't want to do the walk inside the recycling center to dispose the items we put in the bin, their problem is laziness! But also I am not allowed to walk inside. Do they expect me to hire a special vehicle to bin 2 bags of rubbish??? I could easily throw everything in the general waste bin at home! We're told off for being responsible just because they're lazy! Shameful.

First time visiting, very friendly chap on the gate explained where I could take everything following some DIY. Great to have a public funded service like this. Got straight in so was in and out in 5 mins. They have wheelbarrow etc to help you move some of the heavier items too.

Great service and staff were helpful. I was initially somewhat apprehensive as I heard the staff can be very curt. But had a good experience.
