My property owner’s maintenance team did not show up and my front door was difficult to close and wouldn’t lock as the points were not aligning. It was getting late and I didn’t know what to do so I phoned Al Security for advice and Jamie answered. He offered to come out and realign the UPVC door for £120 (£100+20%VAT) - he arrived promptly and was very friendly and knowledgeable so was nice to chat to. He was able to correct the alignment issue without needing any additional parts and now my front door, which is quite worn out, is working perfectly again, which is such a huge relief. I was able to claim back the costs via my landlord as Scottish legislation allows for a tenant to seek to carry out emergency repairs themselves, as long as they first give the landlord a chance to resolve the issue. I’d definitely recommend for anyone else that finds themselves in a pinch to get in touch with this company. I was unsure as to whether UPVC door alignment issues were a locksmith job as the lock itself was working properly, it was only the alignment that was failing but Al Security’s website confirms that they do indeed specialise in UPVC alignment too. You don’t have to hesitate to give them a call if it’s a general door issue and not locking specific. I’ve attached photos to show what my issue was with regards to it not aligning, and Jamie was able to sort that. The price charged at the end was the exact amount quoted on the phone and I got an invoice to claim it back, so it was all very friendly, professional and honest. :)

Contacted AL Security after house keys were lost and husband locked out while I was 400 miles away. AL Security were quick to respond and husband was back in with new lock fitted within a couple of hours. Very good service.
