Wickes Plymouth

Absolutely disgusting customer care!! I paid extra to have a delivery in a Saturday. I received a message from city sprint who is the courier for Wickes Plymouth that delivery would be between 1-5 pm!! It was still not delivered by 8pm! No apologies, no notification of delay , Nothing! I had to chase my order the whole day myself . At 8pm I contacted city sprint for the second time to be told that the driver was currently in Tavistock! I shall Never order from this store again. No respect for the time if others thinking it’s ok to keep you waiting for 8 hours! Discourteous and disrespectful on all levels Never again!

No point them having a phone number they never answer it! I completed a click and collect order only for an hour or so later for them to call and leave a message to tell me they don't have the items I ordered. Rather than refund me then and there, they instead decided to mark the order as 'picked' so that I had to go into the store and get a refund that way. I tried calling and the phone rang and rang without anyone picking up, now I have to go to the store just to get a refund. Absolutely awful, no stock control and common sense.

If I could rate lower than 1 star I would do that! If you are thinking of purchasing a kitchen from Wickes (Plymouth Branch) don’t bother. I purchased a kitchen designed and measured by Jack in May 2025 with delivery and fitting due in July 2025. However, when my carpenter came to fit the order it was discovered that the entire kitchen was measured incorrectly and nothing fitted. Contact was made with Jack as well as customer service who said ‘You are lying it will fit, so keep going’. This went on for two further days until they finally listened and sent out another staff member called Miranda who remeasured and admitted that it was their fault due to incorrect measurements. I was offered a botched fix which understandably I declined as I wanted the kitchen I paid for and recieved designs for. After weeks of back and forth and belittling from the Plymouth manager Paul they sent out a replacement (after recieving multiple damaged goods and wrong coloured items. I even had to pay additional costs for another worktop because they measured my bay window and incorrectly supplied the wrong amount and I was told by the manager ‘to stop asking for extra items’.) but by this point I had been without a kitchen for 3 months and have had to incur additional tradesmen costs due to their ‘not fit for purpose’ kitchen and incorrect design measurements. My kitchen was eventually completed in October 2025. I have not received any apology for the way I was spoken to or treated. Was offered £150 as a good will gesture which doesn’t even cover the cost of the additional length of worktop I had to purchase due to their refusal.

I won't lie, it normally go to B&Q as its closer to ne but I had to go to Wicks and wow. They are good. The staff there didn't walk past me staring at the floor like they do in B&Q, doing their best to avoid contact with customers, no. Wicks staff were very helpful. I was actually approached and asked if I needed assistance. Also, they had all the normal quality cordless tools in, but I had the chance to see their own brand bames tools and they are quality. Ive worked with corded and cordless tools since I left school and these tools are good. Im very impressed by Wicks and I will be buying from them again.

I lkike going to Wickes for their huge range of stock and the helpful and friendly staff that are always at hand for advice.
