TL;DR: DO NOT RISK GETTING ITEMS YOU CARE ABOUT DRY CLEANED HERE - THERE ARE OTHER DRY CLEANERS IN BRISTOL, Please take the time to read this if you are considering using this place - if it even stops one person ruining a valuable item of theirs it’ll be worth it. I gave my wedding suit in for dry cleaning last August. I received it back, and immediately noticed that the trousers had shrunk massively - the legs had shrunk over 5 inches and the waist had also come in a considerable amount. The pictures below will make that very clear. What followed was an incredibly exhausting and stressful attempt to get the owner to take responsibility. At first, he tried to deny any fault and claimed that this was a manufacturing fault with the material. I went back to the manufacturer, who unsurprisingly confirmed that there was no issue with the material, and that many items cut from the same cloth had been dry cleaned with no issues. Bear in mind, this is also a wedding outfit manufacturer who make their garments from high quality materials. Returning with this evidence, the owner was still unhappy to take responsibility but agreed to try to re-stretch the trousers back to size. I reluctantly agreed, fairly certain that this would be impossible given how badly shrunken they were. He said he would try to get it resized within a month or two; obviously in a couple of months the trousers were still nowhere near back to normal. At this point I wanted compensation - he refused, insisting that he just needed more time. This painful cycle of him saying he just ‘needed more time’ while refusing to pay out carried on for 7 months, until upon threat of court proceedings, he finally agreed to compensate me. I had to get him to sign a handwritten contract agreeing to payment because given all of our previous interactions I had no faith that he would follow through unless I had evidence I could use in court. The cherry on top - when I finally tried the trousers on for the last time before he agreed to compensation, he disgustingly asked me jf i had put on weight! I was understandably very upset by this. Bear in mind the two photos taken were only taken 6 weeks apart. This has been a nasty ordeal all in all. My wedding outfit is permanently ruined, I’ve had to deal with a quite frankly nasty man for 8 months, unable to take any accountability for his actions and who is a nightmare to deal with, and the compensation i agreed to was far below the value of the suit. I’m only just writing this review now as i only just received our last compensation instalment last week (yes, he insisted it was his right to pay in monthly instalments). It seemed to me that his clear strategy was to drag out the whole situation as long as he could to wear us down, and ultimately he did partially succeed. Given every interaction i have had with him, i am confident the owner will reply trying to dispute some of the facts here, because that’s the sort of character we have had the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with. I can assure anyone reading this that everything here is 100% true - I had all the evidence documented ready to file a case with small claims court before we settled. This lovely gentleman performed miracles on some chewing gum-encrusted Maharishi snopants for me, and did it with the air and grace befitting the highest echelons of hospitality. I’ll be entrusting all my dry cleaning here from now on, and I recommend you follow suit (no pun intended).

Had a wonderful experience! The turnaround time for dry cleaning is very quick yet the quality of work is great. Very reasonably priced. I’m definitely coming again and would recommend!

Terrible experience! I got my coat back just the way it looked when I took it there. It had lint and hairs that could have easily been removed even by hand, let alone by a professional procedure. It seems to me they haven’t even cleaned it at all. Definitely not recommending it!

The new owner has completely let the service go downhill—after previously receiving brilliant care a few years ago, my Moncler jacket came back from dry cleaning with a broken zip, two holes from the yellow receipt they pinned to the tag, and possibly even a fake replacement zip, and I’m now considering legal action and compensation if they don’t resolve this
