The Laundry Lounge Gloucester

I am so impressed with the Laundry Lounge Gloucester. Superb service given at a very reasonable price. My bedspread was laundered and pressed to an extremely high standard. Thank you. Highly recommended. Lovely efficient staff too.

Friendly owner, machines always working, decent price, safe, clean and always has change. Please note, that the lady is not there Wednesdays or after ~5pm so you will need £2, or £1 coins or 50p coins and certainly 20p coins. Small machines are £4.60 a wash, big machine £6.50. Dryers are £1 for 6 minutes, expect to pay ~£3 -£3:50 for a small machine load to dry depending on the clothing type.

Our experience of using the Laundry Lounge recently: Two differing notices, one says "Attendant here every day including weekend from 10am - 1pm..." and the other says the attendant is present 9am-5pm most weekdays. Unfortunately we arrived after 1pm so we couldn't get a service wash, nor use the TV, etc. However we used the machines successfully and DIY was cheaper: coins only, no cashless payments. £3.70 standard wash, £5.50 big wash. Dryer two sorts, various prices. Comfy seats! There's a cafe across the road, and a useful shop with ice creams and washing powder (80p, we couldn't get the powder machine in the launderette to work). The free BTWiFi didn't work ("access point temporarily full" - all the time!) It's handy for the canal, and there was a cycle lane most of the way from Sainsbury. Find it on Google maps. The TV is unavailable when attendant not there. Last wash 7pm, doors open automatically at 9am and close at 8.10pm

They took in my cleaning, quoted well above the price list on the wall. Said I would get a call confirming after the weekend. 10 days later I have now emailed three times, no answer. No call received. Prices on wall Gilet £10.99 Jacket £11.50 Full length coat £ 15.99 Total £38.48 Told they would charge Gilet £14.60 Jacket £13.30 Coat £18.20 Total £46.10 / extra £7.62 I finally got through on phone and was advised they want to charge £60. That's £21.52 over the printed and advertised website prices. Utterly appalling treatment.

Always clean and tidy. Comfortable settees to sit on and wait. Friendly helpful owner
