Took Honda Strimmer in for a general service and repair toggle switch. Strimmer working, just a service (change oil, any filters etc) besides the switch repair. Quoted £80 labour minus parts with £40 deposit to be paid on the spot. Called relating to the service, quoted £350 for service due to parts being “worn”, it’s 4 years old, it will be worn but working fine. Brand new strimmer cost about £400 Toggle switch repaired, informed by engineer it took a few mins to do, total cost £80 and no service completed. Seen other reviews saying similar. Would avoid for any after sales services.

Truly disappointing experience, which seems consistent with a few other reviews. Took my strimmer in for a service, which was quoted at £85; I paid £40 deposit as requested and paperwork noted it was working. Telephone call received 2 weeks later, quoting about £350 works required due to contaminant in the carburettor and a damaged fuel pipe, so considered my options. Decided to collect it and upon arrival, was told it was in pieces, however, a few minutes later it miraculously appeared intact, but disappointingly no longer working. £40 deposit has been returned after some discussion, but that doesn’t compensate me for the strimmer that no longer works.

Recently bought a Segway i108 from the Hereford branch. The service was second to none. Pre-purchase advice was extremely extensive with no pressure at all to buy (personally I am immediately turned off by the sharp salesman approach) you certainly won’t find that here. The gentleman that served me, Steve, was very patient with all of my questions. I left feeling well informed and clear on what would be the best model for my needs. So an i108 it was! I am extremely happy with my purchase, it fits my needs ideally. It did take me a short while to set it up (being in my 50’s it was due to ‘old codger user error’ rather than anything else more sinister 🤣🤣). I now have it running very smoothly with weekly mows scheduled, I’m so pleased I don’t have to push that old Honda around anymore! (although it was extremely reliable). Great machinery shop. Very helpful staff who really look after customers. Large selection of garden machinery, and high quality toy versions for the younger members of the family! Nothing is too much trouble, even when busy. Excellent parts and spares department.
