Midford Manor Care Home in Bath Hallmark Care Homes

I visited a resident today. The first time I've been to Midford Manor. From the first person I saw there were smiles and staff couldn't do enough for me. I had a lovely tour of your beautiful home ,while I was waiting for my lovely friend to finish her daily exercises. I am very impressed and I look forward to returning soon. Thank you all.

I have given this 2 stars considering the amount of money it costs and the actual standard of the place. However, the nursing care seems good enough and the carers are kind. The food is appalling, dry and cold and the servers crash and bash the utensils about. The fruit in the coffee area is old as are the cakes. There is never anyone in reception, neither can you find anything out. For one month we have been waiting for a sky box that eventually arrived this week, (with no card,) no one knows anything about it. I have heard able bodied/minded residents also complaining about the food and the standard of the place . From what I have seen, food appears to be brought in by meals on wheels. My old Father is too non compos to complain. This was my last choice, due to it being near to home and my mother being able to visit easily. The general impression I have been given is that this is just a money maker. . I assume the wages are minimal due to the large staff turnover. How surprising. That reflects on the ownership. The last time I visited I noticed that the floors are not cleaned often. The visitor lavatory had no loo paper and the floor was not clean. I guess bad wages reflect on job applicants. My fathers water glass was dirty from at least 2 days before and there was glass on his floor. My daughter and I cleaned his room. Look elsewhere, this is just a money maker.

I visited the Home with Sally and she was delightful. Very knowledgeable and kind and the Home has a beautiful setting with lovely gardens.

A beautiful home and my Mother could not be happier there. The gardens are amazing and we enjoy our weekly visits.
