JB Building & Maintenance

We had numerous issues with the previous builder which left us with a leaking roof on a log cabin. Jake was very professional from the outset. Provided numerous options of what we could do with different costs attached. The price was very reasonable. After providing the quote Jake gave us a date and time. Jake and his friend turned up on time every time and did an absolutely excellent job. Replaced felt roof with rubber roof, put correct tilt into the roof so that water can actually run off. He has restored my trust in the building trade again in that there are still good tradesmen out there! Thank you Jake and to your friend for getting our roof fully waterproofed again!

The initial work was great; however, after agreeing a quote with us for additional work, he dropped off the radar. He had to cancel the initial date we agreed, which was not a problem, but when we contacted him to reschedule, including to fix some previous work he had done, he did not respond. We’ve phoned him, texted him, and left messages, but no response. If he had been busy and had said so, it would have been fine, but ignoring our calls and texts is unprofessional.

We were really impressed with Jake. He was friendly, helpful and did a great job. We had a tricky problem to fix which he researched for us and he checked in to make sure everything was as we expected as he went along. All jobs completed well and the place was left clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend.

Jake was brilliant - We had an old bathroom window replaced and two new window sills fitted. Jake was on time, his work was completed to a very high standard and left the house clean and tidy once the job was finished. Highly recommend, and I shall be using again.

Really pleased with the work done by Jake. He was helpful and informative when he came to do the quote and quick, tidy and efficient when he came back to do the work. I now have a lovely, leak-free roof - thanks Jake!
