Homebase Winchester

Check your receipts... was charged nearly 100% more than advertised price on a series of products, I would not make significant purchases here. when I brought this up at the counter, the manager left his junior staff to it, he would not come out his office and refused to honour pricing from there with use of his headset. I feel bad for the staff there as the guy I dealt with was great but there wasn't much he could do.

Stop drowning the houseplants please. Assign someone to your houseplant section that has the basic knowledge not to drown plants in water. They are all sitting inside the stoor in a not very well lit corner in over watered-heavy pots. Those plants will all get root rot not last longer than a week or so. I was unable to purchase any as they had been soaked in water. All of them. Such a shame.

It's a shame that this is the second item I've collected in the last few weeks that looks like it's gone two rounds with Tyson Fury. When this was pointed out to staff the box was ceremoniously cut open and I was told it's not damaged. I replied yes but this was supposed to be a gift. I was then told that was the last one. No reduced price take it or leave it.

OK for small purchases, very long queues at the weekend. Beware it closes at 6pm, but Screwfix is 3 minutes away and closes at 8 pm

It’s a well stocked place with bargains to be found if you stay grounded (so much there it can be easy to get giddy. Lol)
