Hal Build

After excellent recommendations, I asked Hal Build to quote for a simple carpentry job. Mark came round promptly, took measurements, and said they were very happy to do a small job like this and would be able to fit it in with other work. He promised a quote within a few days. After 10 days with no quote I called, and was told Mark had been very busy but would do it that day. Four weeks later, after four more phone calls and a visit to their office, with promises and excuses every time, I still haven't had the quote. I've now given up. I understand that builders are in great demand, but if Hal Build couldn't commit to the job they should have told me from the start. Instead I've wasted 5 weeks waiting for a simple quotation when I could have found someone who actually wanted the work. On the basis of my experience I cannot recommend them.

Used HAL for some repairs/partial refurb on two bathrooms and some general maintenance. Mark from HAL responded to messages quickly and they turned up on time and got the work done to a good standard. Would happily use gain.
