Gvs Building Maintenance Group

He tried to charge me twice for the same job. Paid to get damp in my ceiling fixed, so he went to repair my roof due to water coming through and onto the ceiling. he said he fixed the roof but there was still damp which was spreading in the ceiling, I waited a couple weeks hoping it was just excess water but the damp got worse so I contacted him. He came back to look after 2 months because he said he had to work away so he couldn't come and look. He finally comes back to look, he stands in the back of the yard, doesn't even get up onto the roof and says that I have holes in the ceiling, it must have been damaged from a storm he say and then says that he'll charge me £300 to repair it. I'm not buying it, the damp never went away and there wasn't a severe storm in the area that could have damaged the roof only weeks after he 'repaired it', I told him how I contacted him soon after noticing that the damp never went away, that it should be for free as I've already paid for the last 'repair' but he wasn't willing. To be honest I'd even be willing to pay for the resources for him to do a proper job but I don't see why I have to pay another £300 when it wasn't fixed the first time.

Couldn't be happier with the overall work and service from Gary and his team. Repaired a really old and damaged roof. Gave me a couple of options to chose from solution and price wise and kept me upto date with photos of progress. Gary uncovered an additional issue up there and also repaired that. Very polite and tidy work and will 100% be using again.
