Gary and Jess installed my Stove last year and did a great job. Gary's communication before, during, and after was great and I would highly recommend him for any stove installation. Given it is a messy job, Gary kept the room tidy and the installation looked really neat. He gave me a full run through on how use, maintain, and look after as well as other useful bits of advice. Gary also re-flaunched the chimney pot and once again, this was really good. Thank you Gary and Jess!

I asked Gary for advice and help with what I thought was a leaky chimney. He provided an excellent service on how best to deal with the problem and offered solutions. At the end of his visit, he even suggested I pay him less that I’d been quoted! What a great guy! I can highly recommend, so much so I've asked him to help with more work at my relatives' homes.

Gary is a nice enough chap, and good if you are a NEW customer. If you want him to come back to sweep or have problems.....good luck with that!!! Gary saved us a fortune de to his reliability problems as we found someone that is happy to do it for less than half the price. On his fourth chance of turning up, he demanded an extra £20 on top of the sweep fee to show up ( the third attempt he 'double booked'). Which took it to a new level as no other sweep charges that much, and bored of days off work waiting for him to turn up (not like he was sorry and offered a discount, he wanted more!), to read emails or remember, it made me look elsewhere at other sweeps and why their industry is so prone to unreliable sweeps - is it just high demand they can't cope with, or is it all just a side hustle that isn't important? Communication is key - if you are too busy, discuss it, expand, get help. If it's a side hustle and the industry is dying off - that's fine, just be honest! There are plenty of options, and if it is truly too busy - then there is room for competition.

We had Gary and Jess round to install our wood burning stove. Their work is first class. Communication was excellent and Gary provided lots of advice prior to them completing the work to ensure that our opening and hearth were ready and compliant. They are very punctual and professional and their work is neat and tidy. Most importantly, they are genuine, decent and honest people. We are extremely pleased with the completed work. I would highly recommend them and will be doing so for anyone that needs a stove installing. I found out about GNL via a Google search and, after reading the reviews, got in touch with Gary. From start to finish it’s been a pleasure.

Gary has just completed a project for us for our in-built Gas balanced flu gas fire media wall. We are really pleased with his work and professionalism. He's also a really nice chap and a pleasure to have working in our house. We will return later in the year to purchase a wood-burner and have him in stall it. 5*
