Diamond Dry Cleaners

Paid £79 for dry cleaning of my sofa cushions. They came back in exactly the same state I sent them off in. Same stains, they smelt dirty and most of stains were food which I could have cleaned with a sponge. Owner refuses a refund and tells me in a patronising way they were cleaned and it is my issue and refuses a refund. Funny how a 20 degree wash in my washing machine has made them look immaculate. Do not use this company!

Diamond have refurbed two bomber length leather jackets from my wardrobe (a Leder™ and a Windsor™) to date. The former was also expertly repaired (pockets). The wait and expense involved is arguably well worthwhile re leather cleaning: DDC performed a truly restorative job on both garments - magically finished/deodorised. The shop is on busy London Road but it's usually possible to park free up to an hour almost outside it. I've also had several Next™ business blazers dry cleaned: ditto - an excellent service on both. Returning to the leather, in line with the shop's disclaimer, really stubborn stains/marks may remain: £115 doesn't miraculously reincarnate your beloved buffalo drip; but it'll be returned, mark my words, with a new sparkle. Finally, I discovered that leather rejuvenation has become a rare trade in Southend city: many dry cleaners won't touch it.

Had a second hand leather jacket dry cleaned, bought from a heavy smoker and the jacket had a strong smoke smell, along with general dullness/dirtiness around the neck. Couldn't believe when I picked it up the jacket looked new and no smokey smell at all! In general the service good too, helpful and nice. Would definitely use them again.
